The aim of the presentation was to introduce the Polar Star project to teachers, school advisors and stakeholders participating in this online seminar. Specifically, the project’s goals were presented, along with the STEAM education and the Science as a Whole methodology. Finally, the Polar Star kit was presented to participants, as well as an example of an online activity available on the polar star website. Participants had the opportunity to make comments and ask questions.

The Cypriot multiplier event was held on the 11th of September at the University of Cyprus (Nicosia). During this event, secondary and primary teachers learnt about the: (i) project’s objectives and overall rationale, (ii) STEAM Education methodology and the relevant tools and materials, (iii) Science as a Whole methodology and the relevant tools and materials and (iv) Polar Star activity kit and information about the upcoming schools’ implementation process (e.g. how and why to participate, what to expect, what is the evaluation process).

POLAR STAR aims to bring together state-of-the-art learning pedagogies and combine them with exciting activities that focus on contemporary science, thus helping teachers to introduce STEAM successfully in their class.
